Milk production is slowing down on our cow ladybug. Back in the summertime our cow was giving us a full gallon of raw milk a day, and in addition to that she was feeding her calf Luna. 1 week into weaning our calf, demand has dropped for Ladybug, and she is responding to that by slowing down on milk production.
But while we are getting much less milk from her… we are getting much more cream in our milk.
Is it worth milking? Or will we stop and dry her off?
